The answer is ‘Trinadora.’ Our music is a mélange of standards and original compositions in genres that include jazz, blues, classic country, early rock-n-roll, and just about any other ingredient you can think of. We season our vocals with keyboard, ocarina, concertina, harmonica, and guitar accompaniment. Curious about our name? Our duo is named for Janel's ocarina and Ron's guitar. A 'trinadora' is a bird native to Argentina, known for its unique song filled with trills. In Peruvian slang, 'trinadora' means 'guitar.' The word 'trinadora' is Spanish and derives from the verb 'trinar' which means 'to trill.'

Honoring the Veterans of Winnebago County Since 1903. Veterans Memorial Hall and Museum is a living memorial to Veterans from all wars. It will serve as a constant reminder to the sacrifices given by brave men and women from Winnebago County and a way for generations to remember and learn about their lives. Open Tuesday through Friday from 9-4. Historic docent led tours on Tuesdays at 11 am and Wednesday at 1 pm.Weekends and group tours by appointment. Rentals available. This Memorial Hall, one of the first of it's kind in the state of Illinois to be dedicated to our veterans of all wars, was completed in the year 1903. The doors opened with the dedication ceremonies on June third of that year by our twenty - sixth president Theodore Roosevelt with these words: "No more fitting memorial could be erected to the men who fought, than a hall such as this..... a hall beautiful because of the uses to which it is consecrated" - Teddy Roosevelt 1903.

Williams Tree Farm has been family owned and operated for over 70 years. The farm was purchased in the 1940’s by Carlton and Amelia Williams and their son Wayne. Originally a dairy and hog farm, timbers were harvested from the farm and saw for what was known as The Wagon Wheel, a historic resort located in Rockton,IL. To replace those trees and for good stewardship of the land, the trees that we harvested where replaced with seedlings. When a winter storm occurred and Christmas trees where in short supply, some of those seedlings were harvested to meet that demand. Thus a new business was born. Christmas tree production was the focus for decades, with the farm shipping trees to local areas as well as sites in the suburbs of Chicago, but as the families began to look for experience based purchases, Williams Tree Farm led the industry in becoming a choose and cut farm. The founding members of EAA Chapter 22 were: Frank Murray, Joe Kirk, Lynn Stevenson, Ken Long, Hendley Hall, Mel Jacobeson, Bud Harwood, Ken Casson, Bob Richardson, Ed Livingston and Roy Malm. EAA Chapter 22 was started with a meeting in Cottonwood FBO owner Frank Murray's office sometime in 1956. Frank Murray was elected the first president and ran the organization until he resigned due to ill health.The first issue of "TOUCH & GO" (EAA Chapter 22's monthly newsletter) was published in 1964 with Peter MacKay as the editor. The Erlander Home Museum is a cultural centerpiece of Rockford's Swedish ancestry community,and a major asset of the Society. Honoring the Veterans of Winnebago County Since 1903. Veterans Memorial Hall and Museum is a living memorial to Veterans from all wars. It will serve as a constant reminder to the sacrifices given by brave men and women from Winnebago County and a way for generations to remember and learn about their lives. Open Tuesday through Friday from 9-4. Historic docent led tours on Tuesdays at 11 am and Wednesday at 1 pm.Weekends and group tours by appointment. Rentals available. This Memorial Hall, one of the first of it's kind in the state of Illinois to be dedicated to our veterans of all wars, was completed in the year 1903. The doors opened with the dedication ceremonies on June third of that year by our twenty - sixth president Theodore Roosevelt with these words: "No more fitting memorial could be erected to the men who fought, than a hall such as this..... a hall beautiful because of the uses to which it is consecrated" - Teddy Roosevelt 1903.

Our organization objective is to provide a non intrusive environment that fosters veterans coming out of themselves and engaging with others while improving their outlook week by week. Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI) have been identified as the long lasting legacies of the recent Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. We have developed a program that is making a difference for veterans struggling with these issues. This program serves veterans of all conflicts who are challenged, disabled, in transition, and/or suffer from the effects of PTSD or TBI. Admission to the program requires a referral from a VA mental health professional. Licensed mental health professions have found this program to be as, or more, effective than some of the more traditional therapies.
