Historic Auto Attractions is not only home to famous cars, but also a wide array of movie memorabilia. Some of those pieces include Marilyn Monroe’s nightgown, a sweater worn by Hollywood legend James Dean, and an outfit worn by Elvis Presley. In addition a large section of the museum is dedicated to John F. Kennedy, along with the “Day in Dallas” display.

Join us as local history lives on in a quaint home built in 1850's. Known today as The Ethnic Heritage Museum it is here that you will find six fascinating galleries devoted to the primary immigrant groups that settled in southwest Rockford, IL. African-American, Hispanic, Irish, Italian, Lithuanian and Polish. Through displays of early Rockford area maps, everyday artifacts, vintage clothing and more, visitors of all ages can learn about Old World customs and traditions. Historical photographs tell the stories of the earliest settlers who established factories near the old "waterpower district" and built their homes nearby. By comparing early with current lifestyles, the museum strives to bridge the gap between yesterday and today ... encouraging visitors to relive the past with a clear focus on Rockford's bright future. CEANCI is an Education for Employment Regional Delivery System whose primary purpose is to provide access to high quality programming that leads to industry certifications or post-secondary opportunities. The organization administers grant funds that target secondary career and technical education programs at 34 area high schools and middle schools across 10 northern Illinois school districts, including Belvidere, Byron, Harlem, Hononegah, Meridian, North Boone, Oregon, Rockford, South Beloit and Winnebago. CEANCI coordinates and supports activities that: Integrate academic standards into CTE curricula; Strengthen and improve CTE skills; Provide career guidance and academic counseling; Educate and involve the community; Provide professional development for teachers, administrators and career guidance staff; Develop programs of study that starts in 9th grade and lead to post-secondary education and industry credentials; and Serve students by improving curriculum and equipment in the CTE classroom.

Serving northern Illinois for 34 years, The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford is a faith-based non-profit organization that provides free and confidential pregnancy testing, ultrasounds by licensed nurses, mentoring throughout pregnancy, educational classes, practical resources, and referrals to area adoption agencies and community services. Male mentoring is available to young men facing fatherhood. The Pregnancy Care Center also offers "Positive Choices," a sexual risk avoidance education geared to teens in schools, youth groups and organizations. Post abortion counseling is also available.

Stronghold Center is a four-season retreat and camping center, operated by the Presbytery of Blackhawk, Presbyterian Church (USA). Our facilities include wilderness cabins, a camping area, dining and meeting rooms, and seven retreat houses able to accommodate 6-56 guests. Located in Oregon, IL, the beauty of nature exists in a variety of environments, all along bluffs overlooking the Rock River. Founded in 1963, Stronghold Center proudly continues to provide a variety of Christian and secular programming and events. Our unique programming includes summer camps for ages 6-18, challenge courses, and a Confirmation Retreat. In October, Stronghold hosts the annual Olde English Faire. Stronghold is also a great location for one-day seminars, business meetings and professional development programs, church picnics, and family reunions!

Dog Paddle Beach is a canine swimming facility. It is a 21' round swimming pool which is inside so we swim all year round. The heated pool is 54" deep and the 90 degree water provides a relaxing comfortable environment. There is a self serve wash and dry station to use after swimming. Swimming is an excellent non-weight bearing, cardio exercise. Swimming is good for any dog who has just had ACL surgery, chronic arthritis, degenerative myelopathy, needs to loose weight, has too much energy, or just wants to have fun.
