Katie's Cup was opened in January of 2009 by ZION Development in partnership with Rockford Area Lutheran Ministries. In the spring of 2012, the Seventh Street Coffee, Inc. not-for-profit was formed for the purpose of purchasing Katie’s Cup from ZION Development. The transaction was completed on July 2, 2012 and now operates with both volunteers and paid staff.WHO IS KATIE? Katie's Cup is named after Katharina Luther, the wife of Martin Luther –the famous Protestant Reformer. Martin is remembered for being at the center of the social, theological, and political changes of the Reformation. But Katharina is remembered for her generous hospitality. Gary Hill has been publishing Music Street Journal (musicstreetjournal.com) since 1998. Since 2018 Hill has published MSJ simultaneously on-line and in book form. He also published all the archives in book form. In 2019 Hill began a series of books under the Music Street Journal banner focused on the Rockford, Illinois music scene titled, "Music Street Journal Local: Rockford Area Music Makers." In August of 2006 his first book The Strange Sound of Cthulhu: Music Inspired by the Writings of H.P. Lovecraft was published. Since then several other books (The Concert Photography of Gary Hill, Strange Realities: Collected Short Stories and More by Gary Hill Expanded and Revised Edition, Poetry of the Air: A Collection of Love Letters from Musicians to Music and The Suite Music World of Gary Hill and a series of three books The Dark Starr Files) have been released. Wizard Song, his first book length science-fiction piece was released on March 31st, 2020. Hill has also written for cable television (Cops 2.0 on G4), All Music Guide, Demand Media Studios and more. He launched Tale of Wonder and Dread Publishing to release science fiction and horror books in 2018, but published a collection of those types of stories in 2017 titled "Dark Dreams and Worlds." Under the Tales of Wonder and Dread nameplate, Hill has published more than a dozen books including a series on Rockford Illinois cemeteries (Rockford's Final Resting Places), Spooky Rockford and Spooky Rockford Two and Spooky Berwyn. Hill launched Spooky Ventures in 2019 and has been doing video interviews, Spooky News segments and more for the Spooky Ventures YouTube Channel since then.

We promote awareness of the natural world, fostering respect, enjoyment and preservation now and in the future. The Severson Dells Nature Center is housed in a converted Deer Lodge situated on a 369-acre county forest preserve. The Nature Center includes a library, bookstore, classroom, conference room, and display area. Numerous bird feeders attract a variety of species throughout the year. Forest Preserve of Winnebago County Working closely with the Nature Center, the Forest Preserve District maintains the physical property and facilities, including the Nature Center. Our programs are funded primarily by memberships, donations, and proceeds from special events.

Primetime Audio Video was originally called Stateline Satellite, a distributor & installer of Dish Network & DirecTV Satellite TV services, when we first opened our doors almost 20 years ago. The business took off quickly, and people were so impressed with the quality of our work, that they started requesting us to sell & install all of their Audio/Video equipment for them. Well, being the passionate home entertainment geeks that we are, that sounded like a great idea. So we added tons of space – stocked the store with the coolest brands – and re-opened as Primetime Audio Video, and the rest, as they say, is History!
