The Rockford Digital Opportunity Initiative just launched. It’s a powerful new collaboration led by NICNE with support from Comcast and the City of Rockford. With a $20,000 investment from Comcast and local partnerships like the Boys & Girls Club, Goodwill, RPS 205, and others, this effort is all about expanding digital access and skills where they’re needed most.This is part of Comcast’s nationwide Project UP, a $1 billion commitment to closing the digital divide. In 2024 alone, they’ve invested over $100,000 in Rockford nonprofits helping to move the needle.We even stopped by the Boys & Girls Club’s Stenstrom Unit to see it in action. Found the Lift Zone, played a little foosball, and witnessed digital opportunity being built right where it counts.👏 Here’s to Rockford leading with connection, collaboration, and community.
