The Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers™ was created by WellMed Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports older adults and their caregivers with a special emphasis on wellness and prevention. A trained Lifescape Community Services professional will lead this Free 9-week course designed for caregivers of family members with dementia. Lifescape will provide gifts each week to help with stress management techniques, a reusable water bottle and snacks. The event meets at RPL's East Branch in the Friends of RPL Community Room.

The Stress-Busting Program (SBP) for Family Caregivers™ is an evidence-based program that provides support to family caregivers of persons with dementia or a chronic illness. It is proven to:

Improve the quality of life of family caregivers who are providing care to an older loved one. Help caregivers manage their stress and cope better with their lives.

In the Stress-Busting Program for Family Caregivers™, caregivers will:

Learn about stress and its effects

Practice stress management techniques

Develop problem solving skills
