We are grateful that during this time of uncertainty we still have a way to offer customers the opportunity to shop from their local farmers and vendors. Right now, being able to purchase directly from the source has never been more important for both shoppers and vendors and following some guidelines from the city, local health department, and IL Farmers Market Association we are implementing the following safe practices. The health and safety of our vendors and you, our loyal customers, is our number one priority.

Requirements of our vendors and customers:

-Customers and vendors over the age of 2 will be required to wear a face mask or covering

-Please don’t come to the market if you’re feeling sick

-Practice social distancing

-No food or beverage sampling or consumption on site

-“No touching the product”- vendors will handle all goods before sale is made

Some recommendations:

-Please plan on getting “in an out” of the market. We hope to be able to gather and socialize with you all again soon but right now we’ll have to maintain distance. Vendors are smiling through those facemasks and they appreciate you coming now more than ever!

-Pre-order online where available

-Sanitize your hands at the information booth when entering

-Always rinse all produce before eating

What will be different on the first day of the market?

-No food will be sold for consumption on site

-Vendors will be spaced further apart to allow for social distancing

-Music and seating will not be available
