Celebrate National Poetry Month (April) and the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day (April 22) by attending this year's Nature Poetry & Prose program and NLI's Nature Themed Photography Exhibit.

Natural Land Institute is pleased to partner with Rockford Public Library for both of these programs in conjunction with Rockford Area Arts Council’s Spring ArtScene on Friday, April 17. Free Admission for both. No registration required.

The photography exhibit will feature preserves owned by NLI and will run 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. inside the lobby of the Nordlof Center, 118 N. Main St., Rockford, Ill.

At 6:30 p.m. inside the Center’s Sullivan Theater, the Nature Poetry & Prose program will begin and feature several of the authors from NLI’s anthology, NATURAL VOICES: Celebrating Nature With Opened Eyes, an anthology of nature themed poetry and prose. Authors will read selections from the book and other original writings. The book will be available for a $12 donation to NLI and authors at the event will sign copies.

For questions and more information call: 815/964-6666 or email: info@naturalland.org, or visit the calendar at www.NaturalLand.org.
