This year's Appalachian Trail experience will encompass an approximately 36 mile section backpacking in Shenandoah National Park , which is 75 miles outside Washington DC. Not only do we plan to hike on the Appalachian Trail, we are planning to hike and camp on connecting trails that lead to some of the more beautiful water falls in the park.

This trip is recommended for beginner to intermediate adventurers with at least a weekend of backpacking experience. Expect to carry a minimum of 35 lb. pack over steep up and down uneven terrain 6-9 miles a day. As always we recommend that you review this trip with your physician before signing up.
