Backpacking Adventure with Kane County Forest Preserve

If you've always yearned to try backpacking, but didn't have the confidence to do it on your own, here's your chance to try a local weekend trip . We are working with Kane County Forest Preserve to offer a backpacking even created especially for novice backpackers with limited outdoor experience.
Details: This 2 night/3 day adventure will include an "Introduction to Backpacking" training session, guided backpacking to the campsites, travelogues, naturalist-led hikes, chef-prepared meals, and evening campfires. Your guides will be an outdoor adventure leader from Rocktown Adventures and a District naturalist. Expect to hike 3-5 miles per day over gently rolling terrain with packs weighing up to 35 pounds. All meals and group gear are included. A personal gear list will be provided to all registrants.
