The University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford will celebrate 50 years of educating the next generation of physicians, conducting innovative research and serving the community with a 50th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 1.

The event, which is open to the public, takes place at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Rockford Riverfront, 416 S. Main St., starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $125 per person and include food, drinks, casino-style games, live music and historical highlights of the college. A portion of the proceeds of the event will go toward scholarships for medical students.
