Tipsy History: Prohibition

In the 13-acre Victorian Village on the Midway Village Museum campus, 6799 Guilford Road, Rockford


Uncover the mischief of Prohibition as Midway Village becomes a dry town in the 1920’s struggling to maintain law and order. Tipsy History: Prohibition will blur the lines between guests and performers during this immersive 1920s experience.


•​ Visit the hidden speakeasies scattered throughout the village buildings where local breweries and distilleries will be serving alcoholic beverages.

•​ Interact with 1920s civilians, bootleggers, gangsters, police and feds.

•​ Witness federal raids on bootleggers’ and moonshiners’ distilling operations.

•​ Attend a temperance meeting to learn about the Temperance movement in their efforts to rid American life of alcohol.

• ​Live entertainment, demonstrations, and displays.


Admission

$15 per drinking Adult (ages 21+) ID will be checked.

$12 per non-Drinking adult (ages 18+)

$6 per child (ages 3-17)


Event not recommended for Infants (ages 0-2). Admissions also available for purchase at the event when you arrive to the museum. Rain or shine event – no refunds.
