Critical Thinking Across the Curriculum for Ages 13-14 facilitated by Dr. Mary Beth Cunat

Students need to get past mere recall, regurgitation, copying and pasting, and superficial answers. In this session, children will sample several kinds of “thinking” challenges to develop and make explicit analysis, synthesis, and evaluation strategies to apply in different academic contexts. Recognizing what kind of thinking is required from academic tasks helps students be strategic in planning and developing a high-quality response and/or work product.
