Join the Rockford Park District’s Natural Areas Team in removing brush from high quality wetland areas within Searls Nature Preserve. While this willow is native to Illinois, it can create too much shade and crowd out rare and sensitive wetland plants.

We will meet in the parking lot across from the soccer fields and have a short hike to the worksite.

No experience necessary! Please dress accordingly for the weather and bring your own gloves and water. Tools, hot tea, and snacks will be provided.
