ROCKFORD, Illinois – SPoRT Apparel and Collectibles announces a Rockford Peaches autograph signing Saturday, July 31, at Crimson Ridge, 735 N. Perryville Rd., from 11am to 2pm as part of Women in Baseball Week.  This event includes a two-day 20% sale on all SPoRT Rockford Peaches merchandise during regular store hours. 

Rockford Peaches Helen “Sis” (Waddell) Wyatt (1950-1951 seasons) and 1950s Rockford Peaches Bat Girls Clara (Swenson) Hellemann and Sonja (Carlson) Brace will be signing autographs inside the store. Leather Peaches logo baseballs, 1948 vintage-style caps and a limited-edition Rockford Peaches puzzle will be available for autographing.  SPoRT will also provide special postcards to give out free of charge which are suitable for autographs as well. 

Several activities will be taking place outside the main entrance from 11am to 2pm. Parents and team members of the Lil Peaches girls’ baseball team will be selling tees, hoodies and patches created for them by SPoRT Apparel.  SPoRT will provide a 10% sale on Lil Peaches items with proceeds benefiting the Lil Peaches team.   

Midway Village will have a special display from their Rockford Peaches collection and David Pearce, a private collector, will bring original artwork and rare items like a 1950 window ad 

SPoRT Apparel and Collectibles offers other exclusive limited-edition items including tees, hoodies, joggers, Rockford Peaches boxed baseballs, mugs, stickers, clings pillows, coasters and patches; all sporting a logo designed by RACVB in support of the International Women’s Baseball Center (IWBC).   SPoRT Apparel and Collectibles launched at Crimson Ridge in October 2020.   

IWBC owns the brands, SPoRT Makeup and SPoRT Apparel and Collectibles. Proceeds from the sale of these items benefit IWBC’s plans to build a museum and education facility across from Beyer Stadium where the Rockford Peaches played.  IWBC is also a sponsor of the Lil Peaches team.
