Jamecia is a 3-time Grammy award winner who was born Joliet, raised in Rockford, and now resides in Minneapolis. She is the new featured lead vocalist of the original Grammy Award-Winning "Sounds of Blackness." She's sang background for Janet Jackson, Rod Stewart, Jonathan Butler, Jennifer Holiday, Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross Sting, Prince, and countless others.

Jamecia is no stranger to the stage, she’s one of the Twin Cites leading actresses in Broadway’s nominated best shows to see such as “Caroline, or Change”, “Marie and Rosetta”, “A Raisin In The Sun”, “Passing Strange”, “42 Street”, “The Color Purple”, “Detroit 67”, “Skeleton Crew”, and most recently “Beauty and the Beast.”

Jamecia says music is healing and jazz, blues, soul, gospel, and R&B music are her ingredients to help start the process
