With the volatile situation in America, politically, racially, environmentally, and monetarily, the pandemic, and the extremely important upcoming election, we at 317 thought it would be the perfect time to revisit the subject of PROPAGANDA.

PROPAGANDA has been used by every country, cause and political party in attempts to sway opinions in specific directions. It was the original meme. It comes in the form of posters, TV ads, billboards and public art. It can be purposefully fictional and sarcastic, or outright and specific. It can be funny and heartbreaking. It can be used for good or evil. We have all seen how propaganda can influence society. It is and has been a powerful weapon.

For our October/November gallery show, which will open at Fall Art Scene, October 9th and hang through November, we invite you to PROPAGANDA. A group art show with something to say.
