Located *Smack-Dab* in the heart of Rockford'sRiver District, Octane offers a creative spectrum of moderately priced lunches, dinners, espresso, wines, craft brews, cocktails, and desserts in unique combinations. Since its opening in 1997, Octane has been at the forefront of merging food, fun, and technology. Coining the term "InterLounge", Octane was one of the first 5 internet cafes in the country and the first to offer free Wi-Fi in Rockford. The advent of wireless technology, combined with signature coffee blends, allows professionals and artists alike to get wired, and go wireless. Octane was honored to receive the 1998 Heart of Rockford award for "Best New Business". Nineteen years later, Octane (for the past three years!), has been honored to be voted Rockford’s Most Unique Menu and one of the Top 3 Burgers in Rockford - and best LOCAL burger. Somewhere in between, Octane was voted best coffee in the region. We love what we do, and we trust that it shows!
