Rockford Park District's Carlson Ice Arena, 4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park IL, will host a special Noon Year’s Eve indoor public ice skating and Sapora Playworld event Friday, December 31, 2021, from 10 am until 2 p.m.

The community is invited to bring family or friends to enjoy festive and fun events on New Year’s Eve day while gaining the benefits of being active. A balloon drop will be held at noon, and the festivities will also include music by a DJ, party favors, and a Skate and Play Special package.

Skate and Play Special: $8 per person admission includes the public ice skating session, skate rental, and admission to Sapora Playworld, which offers multi-level soft play structures for ages four and younger, and for ages 12 and younger. A meal deal special will be available for purchase.

For ice skating only, the per-person admission fee is $7, which includes skate rental. No discount coupons will be accepted at the Noon Year’s Eve event, which is one of the many low-fee family-friendly activities offered by the Rockford Park District for the community to enjoy. Information about regular public skating and Playworld hours, admission fees, birthday party packages, and rentals is available at www.rockfordparkdistrict.org/skating and www.saporaplayworld.com, and at 815-969-4069, where information on accessibility and adapted skating equipment for skaters with disabilities is also available.

Safety has been and will continue to be a top priority for the Rockford Park District. The District has worked with and followed guidelines from the CDC, IDPH, Restore Illinois, and local health officials to develop procedures and protocols to ensure a fun and safe recreational experience.
