9 am, 10 am, 11 am, Noon,

1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm

Geared towards elementary-aged children, this new special event is designed with imagination and history clues for ages 5 through 10.

Your child and their friends are digging through a trunk of dress-up clothes and end up falling through a long tunnel ending up trapped in a new location and time - the Rockford Train Station in the 1900s!

Groups will have 30-45 minutes to solve a set of history clues to re-open the time tunnel and escape back to the

present! Groups are 10 children per hour session.

Registration is on a first come, first-served basis. Cost includes entry into the Main Museum Center exhibits. To make a reservation go

This program is for ages 5 through 10.

Members should call the museum and speak to a Front Desk representative to register at 815-397-9112.

Parents must remain in the museum during the duration of the hour session and may opt to view the exhibits in the gallery by paying the $7 admission when arriving to the special event. Parents with a Museum Membership receive entry to the exhibits for free. Parents may choose to also wait in the museum lobby.

Program registration begins on Monday, January 25 for Museum Members, with open registration for all beginning Monday, February 1. Registration deadline is Wednesday, March 24, or until the program is filled to capacity.

The museum is required to follow State of Illinois mandates regarding COVID-19 at the time of the special events and mask are required on the museum campus by all visitors.
