For over 70 years in Rockford Il. the Maurer name has always been associated with real estate. My Grandfather Wayne Maurer started building homes in the 1940s. In 1961, my father Jerry Maurer got his real estate license, quit his job at Sundstrand and began a life career in the real estate business. In 1969 Jerry struck out on his own and formed his own company "Johnson and Maurer Realtors". I joined my dads real estate office in 1991 and stayed there 2 years after they sold out in 2005 on the their road to retirement. In 2007 I became an investor in a successful local real estate franchise. In 2014 I sold my shares and started the Maurer Real Estate Group on New years day 2015!
