KORT Presents: "Baddest Band in the Land"

KORT - Kings of the Round Table is bringing an R&B, Soul, Funk, and Reggae battle of the bands to the legendary Live at Levings Talent show and concert series.

On June 30, 2024, from 5-8p, there will be four bands coming from Michigan, Wisconsin and here in Illinois, performing live at Levings Park! They'll be playing the very best in R&B, Funk, and Reggae music, and competing for a chance to win a cash prize of $1,000 and the trophy for "Baddest Band in the Land!" Bring your lawn chair and your dancing shoes - you don't want to miss this historic band competition!

BANDS PERFORMING:

Ryan Byfield is a Reggae/Dancehall and R&B Artist from the Island of Jamaica. His band Nuclei was founded in 2015 and has performed on many local and out of state events. Ryan Byfield is a trained performing artist, who has experiences in acting, stage production, script writing and was a former resident musician for the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Rose Hall Jamaica and Trident Hotel in Port Antonio Portland, Jamaica. He is a songwriter, composer, arranger, recording artist and author of a book to be released in February 2026. He was apart of the winners circle of the Coast2Coast international competition in Chicago, and is featured on the Winners Circle Album, with a single called: Free. His latest album was released in February 2023 called: Roots for the Culture and has released numerous singles before and after his debut album

Direct Connection Band: Members Rick Daniels, Desmond Haney and OJ Merriweather have years of experience playing in many different venues and are now bringing their unique talents together. They offer a blend of R&B, Funk and jazz fusion.
