Join us at Black Centered Art Show and BLM Fundraiser hosted by Misfit Market at the former Just Goods location in the Midtown District of Rockford.

The Black Centered Art Show and Fundraiser believes in the transformative power of art. Art awakens, educates, and delights those that experience it. The show aims to spotlight the area's emerging and established Black artists, educate, and uplift black youth by bringing the community together for a beautiful day of art.

Bring your cash and cards. Black artists in the show will be choosing to keep or donate profits, all non-black artists will be donating art, and funds raised will be donated to BLM organizations accepting monetary donations.

A free library will be available offering books such as: White Fragility, Hair Love, Mixed Me!, The New Jim Crow and more. We are raising funds to buy the books for Da Book Joint, a black owned Chicago book shop We ask that you donate the cost of a book! For the well being of our artists, volunteers, and attendees, FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED. The space will be laid out appropriately to meet social distancing requirements and capacity limits in place for July 26th.
