Apply now for high school STEM Camp at University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford

Area high school students can apply now for a summer Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Camp focusing on biomedical sciences at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford, 1601 Parkview Ave.

The STEM Camp will be held Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21, 2019. Students will be on campus from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. engaged in instruction, hands-on activities and demonstrations of cutting-edge technologies with the goal of helping them develop an interest in a career in medical research.

This free program accepts applications from current sophomore, junior and senior high school students who are at least age 16 by June 1, 2019, from the following high schools: Auburn High School, Belvidere High School, Belvidere High School North, Boylan Catholic High School, Bryon High School, Christian Life High School, Durand High School, Harlem High School, Hononegah Community High School, Keith Country Day School, Lutheran High School, North Boone High School, Pecatonica High School, Rockford Christian High School, Rockford East High School, Rockford Guilford High School, Rockford Iqra School, Rockford Lutheran High School, Stillman Valley High School, Thomas Jefferson High School,South Beloit High School and Winnebago High School.
