Led by local artist Jasmina Jovanovic, this workshop is designed for beginner or advanced artists to learn or refresh basic drawing skills. We aim to develop eye-hand coordination, as well as to learn the fundamental concepts of drawing, such as lines, shapes, angles and values. Two hour class, all materials provided.

Classes are taught at Rockford Art Museum, 711 N. Main St., Rockford.

After our success with Paint & Sip events last year, we received feedback that adults in our community are looking for an opportunity to learn new skills or practice those that are a little rusty. Therefore, our new series will offer 2-hour introductory classes for beginners and artists looking to tune up or try out a new medium. We hope that by learning the basics and building skills, participants will be inspired to continue creating and practicing at home! Each event will be led by a local artist and will explore the basics of a medium, method, or art principle. Keeping in line with COVID-19 procedures, participants will be required to wear a face mask during the event, will have their temperature taken upon arrival, and will be socially distanced in the Funderburg Gallery.
