When we opened Lucha Cantina back in 2013 we were proud of the fact that we were the only independent restaurant in town that offered online ordering on their website.

At the start of 2020, we were using the same third party application to process our orders and honestly, there was no reason to even consider a change.

Then came Covid...

All of a sudden online ordering was in high demand. We were ready! That first week of curbside service we received over 160 of our orders through our online portal. Then along comes Cinco de Mayo 2020.

Our online ordering platform took in 168 orders in the first HOUR we were open.

The next day we started looking for an ordering partner that would help us better manage our online orders and within just a couple weeks we changed over to Tock as the provider of our ordering platform for curbside pick-up.

Tock was able to help us manage the flow of orders and we loved it.

The problem is that while we loved it, many of you did not love it.

We heard the same complaint from our guests on a weekly basis. It only gave 10 min for you to put in your order and there was no comment box for modifications!

We heard your feedback and honestly….

We agreed.

Since the tech available has changed we have decided to make the change with it. While our Reservations for Dine-In will still be managed through Tock, our online ordering for Curbside Pick-Up is now going to be managed through a company called Toast.

As always, to place a togo order with us you will start by going to LuchaRockford.com and clicking on “Order Now.” Just like in the past you’ll click on the box for “Curbside Pick-Up” but starting today you’ll have comment boxes on each item, you’ll have the ability to use the same built in modifiers that your server uses when you dine in, and most importantly, you’ll have more than ten minutes to enter your order!!

You’ve heard us say that we love bringing people together whether it be our table or yours, well today getting our food to your table just got a little bit easier!!
