Welcome Olivia Covert!

Midway Village Museum is announcing Olivia Covert as its new Fund Development Manager. In this position, Olivia is responsible for coordinating the organization’s Membership Program, planning events related to fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship solicitation and the database management of fundraising activities.

“We are very delighted to have Olivia join the museum’s team of professionals” said Patrick O’Keefe, Executive Director of Midway Village Museum. “She has the right personality, educational background and experience to work with our community and supporters to advance the museum’s fundraising efforts.”

Olivia brings to the museum knowledge from the non-profit sector and museum industry to Midway Village Museum. In her previous position, as Education and Development Coordinator for the German American Heritage Center & Museum of Davenport, Iowa, she had a broad range of museum industry responsibilities including planning events, development of outreach programs, organizing volunteers and leading social media campaigns. Prior to that, Olivia was a graduate intern for the Clock, Inc LGBT Community Center in Rock Island, Illinois.

Olivia received a Master’s of Arts in Museum Studies from Western Illinois University in December, 2020 and a Bachelor’s of Arts in German Education from Augustana College in May, 2017.
