Today's Swedish word is tulpaner, meaning tulip

Swedes love tulips, and the local tulip cultivation grows each year. In 2017, 151 million tulips were harvested in Sweden, and next year it will be around 160 million. The days when Dutch imports dominated the market are gone, as 80 percent of the tulips on the Swedish market are locally grown. (taken from article https://helagotland.se)
