We stand in solidarity with members of the Asian American community and those facing discrimination, hate incidents, fear, and intimidation. We condemn racism and expressions of hate, bias, and discrimination against any group, and recognize how recent violent attacks on Asians and Asian Americans, including the horrific shootings in Atlanta, have deeply affected members of our own community.

As an organization, the Rockford Park District prioritizes the importance of embracing and welcoming people of culturally diverse backgrounds as a critical part of fostering a relevant and inclusive park system that results in a vibrant community where everyone belongs.
