Reminder Hey guys! Did you know geese nest in generally the same place each year? These are our friends! They patrol our parking lot and the creek behind the store one season per year and we are ok with that. They are absolutely harmless and co-exist with us perfectly, even with Bean. We leave them be, and they leave us alone too. We are a safe home.Please do not feed her, chase her, scare her, or taunt her or her hubby. She's a piece of our world and we look forward to seeing them and their new babes each year. They keep to themselves but they are protective, of their families and nests. Just ignore them or admire from a far. They are part of the Culture Shock fam!

We’ve never had these beautiful Frida Kahlo mugs until now and we love them!!! “Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?”Maybe you’ve seen our love for Frida around our store but want to know more about this artist:Frida Kahlo was a Mexican painter known for her many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts of Mexico. Inspired by the country's popular culture, she employed a naïve folk art style to explore questions of identity, postcolonialism, gender, class, and race in Mexican society.Her paintings often had strong autobiographical elements and mixed realism with fantasy. In addition to belonging to the post-revolutionary Mexicayotl movement, which sought to define a Mexican identity, Kahlo has been described as a surrealist or magical realist.She is known for painting about her experience of chronic pain.Now you know a bit more but please feel free to dig deep into your own research because Frida was not only fascinating but important to art and history.
