Rockford Public Library honored the 100th anniversary of Women's Suffrage with a historical display of a woman's march, enacted by American Girl dolls. Following the centennial, children were invited to submit an essay about "What Voting Means To Me" to win one of the display dolls below. 36 essays were received, and the winners were Mieah Carter, Niera Miller, and Joseph Sardegna, all age 10; and Piper Johnson and Emma Sjostrom, both age 8.
