World War II Days Digital Video Presentations

Now available through Sunday, October 25, are viewable YouTube video presentations depicting various aspects of World War II. These presentations are made possible through the videotaping of 20 military re-enactor impressions. Videos are produced by either the military units or museum staff and range from 6- to 20-minutes in length.

The video series is a wonderful addition to e-learning opportunities which educators can use as complementary tools for lesson plans or can be viewed by museum visitors who want to enjoy a World War II experience this year in the absence of the annual re-enactment.

In early August, Midway Village Museum announced it will not present the World War II Days military re-enactment due to COVID-19 health safety concerns.The annual special event is known as the largest of its kind in the Midwest with typically more than 1,000 re-enactors portraying Axis and Allied forces as well as civilians during the 1940s.

While the video package is a nominal fee, your purchase helps the museum generate revenue for its operations and is less than half the cost of a ticket to World War II Days. There are more than 2 hours of video viewing in this video pay-per-view series.

If you are not a Facebook social media subscriber, the YouTube video links will be emailed to you after payment is received. The videos will be available online through Sunday, October 25.
