Snack Time With A Fun Twist

Here is a fun and safe way to make snack time a little bit more fun - APPLE SNAPPING!

Tie a piece of yarn or string on the long stem of an apple. Tie the other end of the stem to a shower curtain rod or another sturdy rod at the height of the participant. If it is nice outside you can tie the yarn or string to tree branches as seen in the photo.

Your challenge is to get your teeth on the apple without using your hands!

Many different cultures played this game, or another version "bobbing for apples," in the fall near modern-day Halloween.

There are old-wives tales relating to the discovery of the player's future spouse. For example, in Ireland if the person put the apple under their pillow they would dream of their future spouse.
