After 71 years of hosting Greenwich Village Art Fair outside in downtown Rockford, Illinois, we announce that this year's fair will look a little different. Throughout the years we've seen it all: downpours, swarms of bees, scorching sun and freezing Midwestern summer days, but it took a pandemic to keep us inside. Taking into consideration local and state-wide recommendations we have decided to move the 72nd Greenwich Village Art Fair online. The fair will still be a juried show featuring great local and regional artists and will remain a two-day event.

The fair website will go live, featuring the amazing artists juried into this year's fair, on Saturday, September 19th and will continue through the weekend. Stay tuned for other fun details leading up to this year's event!

Established in 1948, GVAF is the longest running art fair of its kind in the Midwest. All artwork on virtual display at Greenwich Village Art Fair is original and produced entirely by the hands of the exhibiting artist: no reproductions or mass-produced work. Admission proceeds will continue to support Rockford Art Museum, located at 711 North Main Street in downtown Rockford, Illinois.
